Colette
St. Clair is a bright, beautiful young woman who has dedicated her life
to taking care of her five brothers and sisters, absentee mother,
deadbeat stepfather, and baby niece. When one of her brothers
accidentally destroys a neighbor’s priceless car, she decides she’s got
to do something to bring in more money. Her mother’s three failed
marriages have made her cynical about love, so she comes up with the
brilliant idea of going to Silicon Valley to find herself a
millionaire. Colette convinces two friends to go with her, one of whom
is reeling from a broken heart, and one who’s trying to escape the
meddling matchmaking of her family. The three of them take off for San
Jose to look for “kajillionaires,” as they call them, in the land of
workaholic geeks. What they find changes everything they thought they
knew about love, life and making your fortune.

Melissa McGuire is a career-focused TV news
producer whose grandmother thinks she’s dating the wrong kind of guys.
So feisty Nelly, determined to get Melissa married off before too long,
takes things into her own hands and bids on a hunky fireman at a
bachelor auction. The fireman, though young and studly, doesn’t want to
be teased for going out with an “old lady”, so he begs his boss, the
revered Captain Harry Brody, to go on the date in his place. Brody,
who’s been burned by his ex-wife and has sworn off dating, thinks a date
with an "old lady" can’t possibly threaten his peace of mind, so he
agrees. Surprise, his date turns out to be Melissa, who is mortified by
her grandmother’s scheme. On top of that, the evening he’s planned is
perfect ... for a senior citizen. Despite all that, sparks fly between
the two of them. But Melissa is still convinced that a fireman couldn’t
possibly be the right guy for her So Nelly will have to do what she
can to fan the flames – helped along by the manipulations of Melissa’s
jealous anchorwoman, the reappearance of Brody’s ex, and a fire station
full of firemen who want nothing more than to see their captain happy
again.
